Humphrey Bogart

This led to B-movie parts in 1930s Hollywood. Bogart’s turning point came in the 1940s, with his legendary roles in The Maltese Falcon and Casablanca. He died in 1957 at the age of 57 to esophageal cancer.

  1. There may be nothing so cool as Humphrey Bogart in Cassablanca, at least until the time of John McCain. I just love the choice he has to make at the end, and how the director left it to Humphrey Bogart himself to decide, to put the woman on the plane with her true husband, although she fell in love with him when she thought he had died in World War II. Way Cool.
