Attracted by both the beautiful and the odd, Italian photographer Arianna Lago aims to find a way to bring both elements together in her work.
With a background in film and music, the London-based photographer finds herself creating sequential arrangements, whether capturing scenes from her travels or the simple objects of everyday life. Employing a rich almost painterly color palette, Lago’s artistic approach, she explains, “rejects perfection in favor of the chaotic and arbitrary, the contemporary in favor of the nostalgic, and the natural in favor of the surreal.”
