1950 Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta

Known as the godfather of all short-block-based competition cars that followed, the 1950 Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta is an beautiful example of early Ferrari sports cars. Built in 1948 by Touring of Milan to commemorate Ferrari’s victory in the Mille Miglia in 1948, this 166 MM Barchetta features a two-seat spider body with full fenders, and egg-crate grill, and unadorned beltlines.

Chassis 0058 is up for auction and is one of only 25 Touring barchettas. It’s won several awards on the track and in more recent years at car shows around the globe. It remains remarkably intact with the original Touring body, matching V12 engine and gearbox. An incredibly rare car to come to auction that is sure to be a sought-after trophy for collectors.
