Our Colour Reflection

Reflecting the architecture of the former St. John’s Church in North Lincolnshire, UK is Liz West‘s site-specific pool of over 700 multi-colored orbs titled “Our Colour Reflection.” These circular mirrors installed onto the floor of the now 20-21 Visual Arts Centre project hues of yellow, purple, red, blue, and 11 other colors onto the beams that surround them, adding a colorful dimension to the 125-year-old building. Exbury Egg

Artist, Stephen Turner, who specialises in long term artistic explorations of environmental settings, has worked with the designers to create the Egg which he will now use as a ‘residency’, floating in the Beaulieu Estuary for a year, to examine the changing patterns of its marine ecology. He will produce artworks inspired by his surroundings to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the places like the Estuary. Continue reading

5French urban artist Mademoiselle Maurice has traveled the world adding colorful artistic installations for everyone to enjoy. After studying architecture in Lyon, she worked in Geneva and Marseille, before moving to Japan, where she was in 2011, when the devastating earthquakes hit.
