Casa Cook Hotel In Rhodes, Greece

Casa Cook is a new hotel brand by travel company Thomas Cook, that just opened its first location on the picturesque island of Rhodes, Greece.

This adult only hotel mentions that it’s a “new boutique hotel for the bohemian spirit.” There are 90 rooms, and each one of the rooms opens out onto a swim-up pool. There’s also a restaurant, bar, and pool area, as well a gym and yoga space. Continue reading

Spitbank Fort

Spitbank FortLocated 1.5 km from the coast of Portsmouth in Hampshire, United Kingdom, this 134-year-old fort was originally used to protect the British coast against enemy ships and light aircraft. It featured several large cannons and could house 150 men who slept in hammocks. Since 1982, this historic landmark has been in the hands of private owners. In the late 2000s it was used as a venue for dance parties. It was auctioned off for one million pounds in 2009. After an investment of three million pounds, it has been transformed into an exclusive island. The current owners purchased the sea fortress in 2010 and after extensive renovation built a hotel, which opened its doors in the second half of 2012. Continue reading
