In the centre of the city is the Torre David, a forty-five story unfinished office tower that was in the midst of construction until the developer died in 1993, and the crash of the Venezuelan economy the following year. A Look at the Met Breuer Metropolitan Museum of Art Before the Doors Open

Once home to the Whitney Museum of American Art on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the imposing, bunker-like building on Madison Avenue has been leased to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and rechristened as the Met Breuer. The space will be dedicated to highlighting modern and contemporary artistic movements, along with their art-historical influences.
