Venta Rapid: Europe’s Widest Waterfalls

At just 2 meters tall, the Venta Rapid, or Ventas Rumba in Latvian, is one of the smallest waterfalls in the world. But its low height is compensated by its impressive width.

The Solis House

Known as Solis, the Hamilton Island house was designed by Renato D’Ettorre Architects. Solis was created from concrete, stone, block work and glass resulting in a succession of dramatic volumes incorporating aerial living spaces and private roofed outdoor zones.

The Jiuzhaigou Valley, located at the foot of the snow-capped Minshan Mountain, in the north of Sichuan province, China, is a place of exceptional beauty. A nature reserve and a national park, Jiuzhaigou is known for its spectacular jagged alpine mountains, coniferous forests, blue, green and turquoise-colored lakes, waterfalls, limestone terraces, caves and other beautiful features.

A Scenic Walkway Along a River in Portugal

Winding their way through the scenic landscape along the Paiva river in Portugal, the ‘Paiva Walkways‘ were recently completed for explorations of the surroundings at close range.

In a collaboration between the Arouca Municipality and engineer company Trimetrica, the 8km-long route was built to give visitors the chance to experience local natural beauty, including cliffs and waterfalls, as well as offering panoramic views of the valley.
