Photographer Tom Welsh wanted time away from the technology and work of this modern life. He found it in a New Year’s trip to Alaska. Traveling north from Anchorage by rail, 4×4, and aircraft, Tom ditched his heavy photographic rig for something more pared-down to document his trip.
